History
The Mele Foundation was founded in October 1989 by the will of its founder, Anna Maria Mele, to remember the industriousness of her father Emiddio, Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy (title conferred by King Umberto I with decree 10 February 1895) as well as Knight of Labor for the Textile Industry (with royal appointment Vittorio Emanuele III on 6 March 1902), and to hand down, in continuity with the past, the priceless artistic, cultural and entrepreneurial heritage conceived and created with his brother Alfonso.

The Statute
The Foundation is a Third Sector organization registered in the Single National Register of the Third Sector with decree no. 205 of 02/22/2022 of the Campania Region.
Foundation management
The management of the Foundation is entrusted to the Board of Directors, whose members, in possession of the requirements of morality, integrity and professionalism, consistent and adequate with the high ethical and social aims of the Institution, ensure the achievement of the purpose.
